This is a working draft while Fashined is in its invite-only beta. It may change before Fashined opens more widely.
Fashined collects only what it needs to run a marketplace: who you are, what you list or buy, and where a package goes. Here's what that means in practice.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address (you sign in with a one-time code or link, so there's no password), and the name, username, photo and region you choose to add.
- Your preferences: favorite brands, sizes and measurements. Only you can see them; we use them to filter and suggest listings.
- Listings: the photos, descriptions and measurements you post. Location data is removed from photos before they're stored.
- Orders and offers: what you bought or sold, prices, the shipping address for each package, and tracking updates.
- Messages you send to other people on Fashined.
- Activity: listings you view, save or like while signed in. Sellers see totals for their own listings, never who viewed them.
- Sellers: the ship-from address printed on your labels.
What we don't collect
- Card details. You pay on Stripe's secure page, and Stripe keeps the card. We only see that a payment succeeded.
- Identity documents. Sellers verify their identity with Stripe. We keep only whether the check passed.
Who else handles your information
We use a few services to run Fashined. Each gets only what its job needs:
- Stripe: payments, seller payouts and seller identity checks.
- EasyPost: shipping labels and tracking, so it receives package addresses.
- Supabase: our database, sign-in and photo storage.
- Railway: hosts the app.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We may share it if the law requires it, or to protect people from fraud.
What other people see
- On your profile and listings: your name or username, photo, region, ratings and reviews, and your listings.
- A buyer's address goes only to the seller shipping their order, on the label.
- Your email, preferences, sizes and measurements are never shown to anyone else.
On your device
We use a cookie to keep you signed in. Your cart and a few display choices are saved in your browser, so they stay on that device.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. Order and payment records are kept longer, because tax and payment rules require it.
Your choices
- Change your profile, preferences and sizes any time in Profile.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to delete your account, through Help.
